Hi,
I've got a Marantz PM66SE. I've blown the internal fuse (admittedly by turning it up too loud!). I bought an identical replacement (1.6A 250V quickblow) and it goes pop as soon as you turn the power on.
At first glance there isn't any other components that are completely black or clearly bust.
Any ideas where I should go from here?
thanks
Paul

I would check first the power devices of output stage so as the driver transistors. If there are no fault, remove the power amp from the power supply and check your power supply separately.
Either the power supply has a short (if the internal fuse blown again) or the fault comes from the rest of the power amplifier (if the internal fuse don't blown again)
