Marantz PM310 chasis mains connector ?

Hi ,

I acquired a Marantz PM310 integrated amp from a recycle scheme. It has a phono input and a Tape monitor so I 'm donating it to my sons friend who wants to transfer vinyl to his computer.

Anyhow, the amp came without a mains cable, and the chassis socket is odd. the Socket at the amp end is male but only has 2 pins . At a short glance it looks like the standard style of PC chassis socket, but it's rectangular and has no earth connection. Assuming the original cable cannot be found , does anyone know if these connectors are still available ?

I've never seen them in the UK. It's probably easy enough to swap it out with a standard IEC connector (the same as PC's use)

Thanks - I did just that using an IEC connector I got from maplin. I needed to shave a tad off the square hole with a file, but luckily the two screw holes lined up fine. I just left the earth pin disconnected as I guess the unit is designed for floating earth. I found out that the original connector is an IEC C10, which I assume is a US version of the IEC C9 ("Telefunken") type figure of 8 connector, as found on radio's and PS1.
