This seller gets beat up alot around here, but with 2800 feedback at 99.9% positive, I think someone is out to give him a bad name that is probably not justified.
I'm glad this seller stopped his $29 buy now listings for the Marantz HDAM Preamp DIY KIT. I can confirm that no parts was delivered in that listing.
I'm sure this seller is a good guy (99.9 %) but his description of the kit that this thread is really about, no offense marchel, was not that good.

In fact I posted pics with that magnification for all to see the components in details, Whether they are orig or fake, But since it is already OT, I was hesitant to ask about the quality of the component.
You can observe that the 2 IRF610 have nonidentical prints, and one of the Holco( I supposed) resistor on the last pix have distorted markings, I dont know whether these things are normal or I have the right to suspect some components are fake, Otoh the small trannys and the bourns multi turm trimmers are sure to be orig cause I saw those before inside a commercial amp and they look to be ok. I also measured the resistors and caps and they are exactly as specified.
If only I have a way to measure the noise on the output of the regulator, But I dont, what I can measure though, is the stability of the output voltage over time and temperature, Which I'm very satisfied, considering the cost of the kit.

Got my Audicaps from this morning on time less than two weeks, earlier than I anticipated. I don't know much about these cap to say if they are original or not but they are really big caps for 220uf 50V and they sound very good.
So far so good.

I have dealt with Albert on a number of occasions. His products and deals are good with real parts. His command of English and skills in shipping need work. He will always make good if you communicate with him. DIY kits will not come with directions so be prepared to work from parts lists. and sometimes the English is not complete or proper on them.
When he once shipped the wrong parts to me he told me to keep the mistake and then shipped the correct order.
There are many cheats selling from China, Albert is not one of them.
