Its sad to hear a bout yur cd75mk2. here try this,change its cdm4 drive. next, check diode and transistor, if possible change. if problem persist.....look into servo chipset. good luck.

It was some time ago. Now I fixed it: it needed one or two electrolytic and a realignment of the trimmers near the control unit.
I don't have a service manual, so I applied a scientific approach to the trimmers: I tweaked them 'til the player worked
Now it works fine 😎
