I have a Marantz CD-72. It was given to me by my elderly neighbour who is going into sheltered accommodation. I have no use for it as I have a cd player already. I would like to sell it and give her the money but have no idea of it's value (if any). There's a shop down the road but the chap is a bit of a wheeler dealer so I'd like to have an idea before I take it in to him. It works fine, has no remote and seems pretty dent and scratchless. It doesn't say MK2 or SE or anything else like some I've read about. Any ideas for a fair asking price or anything else about it? Thank you for your thoughts.

I've got one of these, and they're an okay player, but nothing too special. I'd expect to get about $100 here (that's in New Zealand dollars) on our equivalent to eBay. I don't know how much a shop will give you.
