Hi, this is good information, for those who have older HIFI equipment. I too, had a standard CD63, and it failed to read any disks, about 3 years ago. I did not have time to mess with it, and saw a CD53 SEII special edition for 50 GBP on a well known auction site, and that has been very good since (quieter tray gears/runners too, the old one was noisy from day 1)! This info by Big Jim might prove useful if my replacement fails, so thanks again.
