Marantz CD63 & CD67 mods list

Hi Ricardo.

27,000uF per rail so 108,000uF total.

To be honest, I don't really know if it sounds any better than using large-can, high quality smoothers, but I had them from another project so I used them.

Hooking up the output psu now so that could be a big improvement.

Lee.

Edit: I've already beaten Brent in the total VA count. Ya rly.

Funny enough, I had this conversation with Simon the other evening. I've got a couple of the same boards with the same caps. I'd be happy with a single SI@ 22,000uF per rail vs the same cap banks. If you were really worried about getting the uF, you could always use 2 SI's per rail😱 but I really dont think its worth it unless its in an amp or other greedy application.

I intend to use 22,000uF SI's on pretty much everything in my 63. If I cant afford the addiytional SI's (Got 10 at the mo plus a couple of 10kuF mlytics) , i'll use TSUP's as an interim solution. I'm really not convinced on the cap banks even though in theory the ESR should be very very low. DOnt suppose you know what the ESR of each of those caps is Lee?

Oh I dunno what you mean Matthieu, surely things like this are subtle tweeks. I don't think anyone would spot this Alpha is even modified....
