The best option for muting transistor removal and no noises is to build a relay muting cct
Muting cct
You can run the signal through the relay contacts or drop the signal to gnd.

Hi all,
I own a Marantz CD63SE and was just wondering why you are all removing the HDAM buffers?? Do they cause some sort of terrible noise or distortion that i've missed?? After all i'm sure that there must be some reason why Marantz went to so much trouble to develope the HDAM system and include it in this ledgendry cd player??

They are ok but once you fit a proper audiophile opamp they hold back the sound and add an over bloated bass

I think if you did one mod it would NOT be the one!
If you did a lot work, however, it would obscure a lot of potential detail.

ermm i think i just connect the signal to ground also can work ? than no need to get a relay

Keep pushing my friend.... everything will come out right in the end. 😀
I got an marantz cd 63-se and the tray is not moving as good as it should be. I can see that i can buy a new tray gear and belt on ebay but there is a CDM-4 and a CDM-9. Wich one should i get if any of the 2 fits my marantz
Remove mech from cdp.
Slide out the tray (clip to move)
Remove plastic cover, gears and belt
Clean all the parts and re grease
I've never seen a worn gear yet.

Unfortunately, the answer is neither.
The mechanism in the CD63 is a CDM12 not 4 or 9 and the parts are not compatable.
You should carefully take the mechanism apart, clean it and reassemble.
I have had very few problems with this model.
Andy
Edit - you beat me to it, Brent. I will have to type faster !!

ermm my CD63 have some noisy sound when ejecting 🙁 put grease already but still have the sound very irritating plan to buy new tray n transport where can find ? thanks
Did you remove all the parts, clean and re grease. The noise is usually the gear sticking on the shaft.

In my experience of wrecking players funny noises are usually when I've not put something back exactly how it was originally.
I'm not suggesting this is the case, just that it has been for me.
Good luck!
