I think that's fallow lmao
The crops have been harvested but dead caps have been planted to improve the nitrogen content, or something.
Time to come clean................
True this one hasn't smoked but my KI died on me!!
Don't think you've earned your spurs until you've had a dead machine, though I do draw the line at smoking in our house!
I hadn't a clue at the time I was such a noob so I just bought a 63SE with a faulty laser and started on that.
I've had a few goes at the KI to get to the bottom of it, lots of help from Brent - diagrams of the tx wiring and stuff like that but she's still not having it.
Not going to beat me, though, I'll sort her out good and proper if it's the last thing I do.
Now, where have I heard myself saying that before........ oh yes, at the foot of the stairs........

Q: Is it possible to run the clock signal wire in a more non direct route
A: NO
Q: Is it ideal to have the clock ground not going to the psu reg gnd
A: Yes in this player
Q: Is pink the best colour to use for a mains lead
A: Yes but only if you are gay
Q: If you have to use pink should you at least make it look professional
A: Obviously not

Apart from the clock mod and the knitted mains cable, what other mods have been done ?
I note the extensive damping material.
Why are the photos in his Cornwall holiday folder ?
Andy
PS - I like his wallpapering !! shows the same style.
I've emailed him asking for more details. LOL

Aww, poor guy, you're so mean to him! Reminds me of my early mods hehe. That pink power lead has about as much girth as the wire on a set of fairy lights

Once I'd stopped laughing at that, I remembered that the interconnects between my CD, tuner and amp are Sonic Link 'Silver Pink'.
Let's just say the silver's on the inside...

Oh really, coming out of the closet are we hehe
"it has been upgraded with specific chipsets and main lead"
lets hope it's got better "specific" opamps

Don't laugh ! Here is the answer :-
I bought this modified CD-player from a hi-fi dealer two year ago, he told me that there a couple of mods inside the unit, including a ultra-low jitter audio clock, but I am not a technical guy and have no idea on what is the exact model of the chipset.
Andy
At least the guy shielded the logic IC. Let's not get into the use of appropriate shielding agents..

rowemeister said:Oh well if that's the case i'll put a bid on![]()
Sounds like someone was ripped!
Brent
You should bid, that shield is "active" mate!

My wife likes that pink "main cable", she wants me to make one. I said I'll fit her one to her hair-dryer
