Do you mean shorting RD22 RD26 24 28 21 23 25 27 ?rowemeister said:No modifications required the opamps are a straight swap, I would however recommend shorting out the 4 feed resistors right next to the opamps. This seemd to give more punch to the bass.

He means R613, R614, R615, R616.
You can just bridge them with wire under the board to short them out. That way if you don't like the result it's easier to undo.
Thanks Glen 😉
Also while you are at it you may as well bypass the HDAM and dc blocking caps
Remove R651 652 653 654 C655 656 657 658 and U210 U214.
Then solder a wire from the opamp side of U210 to the output socket (R) and a wire from the opamp side of U214 to the output socket (L)

Hi Ade,
Yep! The shiny gold K.I. Signature badge on the front panel is the clue!
And if you "pop the hood" the transformer is toroidal and the chassis is copper plated on the inside. Those are the only KI changes above SE spec.
Simon
A KI SIG badge on the front, this can't be removed without leaving a blank rectangle on the front.
It should have a copper plarted chassis.
The text and boxes around the rear sockets is copper in colour too.
The model should say 74CD63/95B on the rear.
If you remove the lid it will have a Toroidal transformer

LOL Forum stalker.
Also the KI comes in a SE box with black KI tape to seal it (sorry for that useless info)

Actually I do not have a HDAM because it´s a 53 SE model....
I only have a 10ohm ?? R620 between the two output caps 220uF and the opamp.
Should I remove it along with R657 658 659 620 ?
I already removed the muting trans... but did not remove the output caps.... afraid the ofset might affect my Meridian.

Oh yes a 53. job done
Still go from the links U210 U214 to the output. Remove the 220uF caps also.

The link from your site to download the eps format of the clock pcb doesn't seem to work for me.
Don't think it's anything I'm doing as I got the CD outputstage eps fine - opened in Photoshop with no problems at all.

Hi Jim,
Try again, i've updated the file, it should be ok now.

Hi Ray
Have tried again but same problem.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Am using Photoshop 6.
As an alternative could you try emailing me please?
You may still have the address from when I emailed about the Rayregs but just in case am emailing you again.

Hm, strange. I'm using CorelDraw, no problems here. I noticed the old file was placed outside the A4 paper border, but that's solved now.
Drop me a mail, I don't have your address anymore.
