Shep I've done pretty much everything you can do to a 63. It's just a case of more quality regs and uprated psu's. Same goes for all cd players.
Keep an eye out for a KI tx or non disc reading KI. Then you can swap the TX onto your pcb and/or drop the pcb into the KI case.

Actually I'm already there. Grover Huffman's ic's are sort of, as are the KCI I have ( I think so anyway) I was thinking more along the lines of surgery; to have the itchy tweak bits removed. Any brain surgeons here???Shep - foil interconnects: go there 😉
or just start adding additional transformers and psu's. If you do find a non reading KI, fix it and sell it on. Use it to fund more regs! lol

Yes and then go for my cheap level 7 upgrade 😉

did I hear cheap??? Cheap sounds good. I guess I can take out another morgage or sell the kids next door. On second thought, surgery is probably the easiest way to go. I can buy a Bose and be blissfully happy and ignorant.
LOL
It's not a cheap upgrade to do no, lots of nice parts and loads of time to do it. 2-3 days solid work. It also puts into perspective what i've achieved with my own player with twice as many Spowers and a sack load of tx + all the smaller stuff.

So me i'll forever lag behind...on a less interesting subject; I have ordered some tone wood feet (ebony) from HK. They come in four but unconventional wisdom says three is the magic number. I assume one goes directly under the center of the rotational point and the others distribute the weight. Correct me if I'm wrong or other versions. it's a cheap tweak and will at least look better than the battered old brass cones I use now.
I'm still here although "reading another book".
Enjoying my BuffaloII package. 😀
Nice! 😀 Sounds already?
Ray
Yeps, it's rocking. Waiting for the Legato output stage now.
Ebony should be brilliant as light and ridged works best. Do you have a link for us please 🙂

Always use 3 feet! just dont lean on the back corners! 3 points of contact will result in a more balanced and stable set up (look at a tripod! you'd never be able to set it up if it had 4 legs!)
However, as I said its only stable until someone leans on a corner without a cone!!!
Anyone see Topgear with the reliant robin??? lmao

I've never had dealings with these peeps but they have lots of goodies and seem to be for real and not extravagant price-wise.

Brent you lost me there! ebony is dense and heavy and smooth. While on the tweak subject; who amongst you has used or uses ERS paper and if so what are your thoughts about where and if to use it?

LOL, is that a parody of this one: YouTube - ERS Paper part2 2006 10 25 ?
Or is that also a joke? It's hard to tell.

Don't appologies! it may actually be of benefit!
Review of ERS cloth - [English]
Personally I have no experience of ERS paper. I do however use ARS paper on a daily basis! My preference is Andrex!!! 🙄 😀

I was refering to wood being light compared to metal etc. Oak is dense compared to most woods and Ebony is even denser.
