Marantz cd player cd73
Hello I recently saved a cd 73 from being destroyed.. but it does not work firstly I had to replace the 3 long flat 8 pin leads inside it ,things come to life but can someone please advise what order these fit,, if first socket nearest rear is no one (both sides),
I know very little about cd player repairs thanks

Not sure if this will help, but you can get the circuit layout for the CD 72 in the service manual.pdf from this site:

Hope it's close enough to the cd73 for you to work out what goes where🙂

Marantz CD73 ?
Do you mean the 3 flat connectors from the mechanism side to the strip board on top of the decoder shield ?
If so is very easy...
Connect the 3 flat connectors on the side of the laser mechanism and lay them side by side on the plastic guide on the metal bracket.
On the strip board just connect them in the order they are and you are good to go just remember not to cross them ( from the front of the player, flat connector 1-2-3 on the strip board over the decoder board is the other way around 3-2-1).
If it helps I can take picture from the one I'm repairing (tomorrow).
