Marantz CD 5004 - CD motor does not spin

I got a faulty Marantz CD 5004 for cheap. It doesn't open and does not read any CDs.
I've tested the sled and it seems that part is simple - old lithium grease needs to be updated and the whole mechanism is quite resistive.

Regarding the spindle motor, I've tested the motor with a 9V battery and it spins both forwards and backwards. I've also tested the voltage from the TA2125AF IC that manages spindle motor and lens sled - voltages behave as it should for both the spindle and motor. Lens sled moves into position if I move it before turning on.
However the spindle does not spin at all. I haven't oiled the spindle motor yet because I don't have any suitable oil with me now.

What's the issue here? Could it be the motor just needs oil?
And if worse comes to worse, I can only find the spindle/lens assembly on aliexpress. Is there a reputable place to get it? or are the ones from aliexpress sufficient?

Ah, interesting development!

Someone had attempted repair on the unit previously as evidently seen from a sharpie marking on the flat ribbon cable, but unfortunately they had labeled 'Up" on the back side of the cable! The pins do not touch the connectors at all. There's also at least 3 missing screws and the spindle weight clamp is also upside down.

Ive reversed the cable (though it is now in shambles and the thin exposed connectors has separated from the plastic backing), and the lens mechanism tries to focus 3 times.
But when it tries to spin the disk, the spindle simply skates over the CD. It appears the spindle is incomplete and the mating surface had fallen off at some point. Also the motor speed sounded quite high, it does not ramp up but instead goes full speed immediately. Is this speed normal?

Perhaps since the spindle itself is broken, can I find that part alone or does it come as the whole set?

Thanks a lot. I didn't know it was a metallic washer to mate with the magnetic puck at the top.
I tried to put the puck magnet to my pliers and wow, that thing is quite strong. no wonder the cd was just skating without the clamp.

So now I'm waiting for the lens+motor assembly, ribbon cable, and some molykote grease.
