I believe it's something about a security token....
mkane77g is in the USA AFAIK; he definitely is a native speaker of English.
I'm participating in his thread on 'hum' in his 2A3 monoblocks, and I know he is forced to link to PhotoBucket pics because he cannot upload pics here using the 'Manage Attachments' button in Reply.

mkane: I think (but I'm not sure) that Cal wants you to describe what you are doing when you get the 'security token' warning.
Which internet browser and what version?
Your picture is stored on your hard drive?
You browse to that picture using the 'Manage Attachments' button in the Reply window?
You hit the 'Upload' button?

Exactly the error message you get, and whether it seems to be from diyaudio..

etc...

Thanks for the translation, yes that's exactly what I was looking for as there is more than one way to post a pic. From your drive and URL. I assume he is trying to do it from his drive.

Yes, I think so - he's posting OK from URL (which is shown in your attachment) at Photobucket.
The problem (for me) with those PB pics is that I can't copy them easily into my own computer so I can add labels and text to help explain what we're discussing in troubleshooting. I had to use SnippingTool to grab the image off the screen- which is one more step than most readers would want to do.

Just to be clear - I'm having absolutely no problems uploading pics from my machine via 'Manage Attachments', same as always, using Firefox 51.0.1

Something with mkane's machine or method in 'talking' to the diyaudio system seems to be the problem...

Yes, I understand. I am hoping he comes back and tells us if the button pushing has worked this time or if we need to take it to the higher powers.

Thanks for responding. I hit the post reply button on the left. Then manage attachments. Hit browse, attach a pic in my folder, then hit upload. It uploads to about 75% then the security token issue arises. It's worken a few times but now it's on the fritz

I've seen this crop up before on the forum.

Try rebooting your router and also run a disk and browser clean to purge any temporary files. Do both and retest.

Ah! Not on upload, but when the midnight forum re-boot times-out, it always fails for me. I just curse all computers and come in anew. But last time I noticed the error does say "token".

Not worth a fix.
