Been looking at the MAM 137 driver and im wondering in what application it can be used in. As a wery high qts driver a open baffle comes to mind at first. Can it be used in anything else ? The Sound of Valve seems to have succesfully implemented a high qts driver in a tqwp. Closed box ?, hmm perhaps.
I´ve uploaded the datasheet for this driver on a server since the manufacturers homepage seems to be down ( at least the speaker part of it ). Any simulations would be apriciated - http://w1.223.telia.com/~u22306942/MAM137_data_sheet.pdf
Last but not least. Although much can be said about the C-37 laquer, its not something im interrested in. Its the driver im curious about.

Konnichiwa,
The main other option for High Q drivers is an apperiodic box. You might choose a tall column and place downwards from the driver several crossshelves with many holes drilled into them and possible fitted with some form of cloth as flow resistance.
That said, I'd probably be tempted to place the drivers in a MTM arrangement with a supertweeter (10KHz & upwards, 95db/W/m sensitivity needed) on a fairly small open baffle. The result should make for small, neat and good sounding satellites to use with a suitable subwoofer.

A MTM arragement you say ? Not a bad idea at all =) Perhaps combined with the Fostex FT17H tweeters they may become really excellent. The design can always be grabbed from Linkwitz site 😉
Thanks Kuei Yang Wang. You have given me something to think about while im working.
