When I open the diyaudio home page I get a warning from my anti-virus software (avast) that it has blocked a malicious URL.
The message I get is
Infection Details.
URL: "http://www.cloud-jscript.com/gate.php"
Process: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explore...
Infection: "URL:Mal"

Yes, I've just been hit too but my Virus protection has stopped it.

Could be coming through the add's apparently it's the latest way to distribute malware. Infect an Add Network and then all sites that use that advertising network become distribution sites for the malware.

No issues here.
False positive anyway? The URL doesn't even have an IP associated with it right now.

I'm not seeing it. We'll let Jason know. Thanks for reporting it. Can anyone follw the "More Details" link and see what it says?
It's now coming through on EVERYTHING connected with DIY AUDIO.COM
Yeah, I couldn't even respond to this without getting the pop-up.

Are you all using avast?
Could it just be a false positive since that URL isn't assigned to an IP?

avast! saved your computer from crashing
You just dodged a bullet
You may be wondering how you ended up with a virus, especially if you were visiting a ‘normal’ site. The latest research from the avast! Virus Lab shows that more than 80% of malware (viruses, spyware, and the like) spreads through legitimate websites, with only 1% coming from suspicious or ‘dodgy’ sites.
Good thing avast! had your back.
The rest is about selling you various upgraded protection.

Another forum site had the same problem yesterday, the Admin changed some code that fixed it.

Dunno, what I know about how this stuff works you could fit on the head of a pin, but considering some of the other stuff that shows up on my daily scans of this and other anti-virus/mal-ware freeware that I do nothing about with no apparent problems suggests it's more about scaring folks like me into signing up for extended coverage.

Sigh... Thanks for checking!
I have a ping into to Jason to have a look at it.
No issues here with AVG, but I'd also recommend using a HOSTS file for some additional protection. There's a good one here- Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File
Just download the zip, run the bat file and you're done. Many ads will no longer show at all and browsing can be much faster.
