Hi ! Is it bad to have some slow voltage fluctuations in range of 0.5V at the input of linear regulator if it is far away higher from output voltage + dropout ?
That is pretty normal as the mains voltage varies and so the voltage out of power transformer varies.
As i understand things:
As long as the low point of the ripple voltage at the input of the regulator stays above the dropout voltage of the regulator then you are fine.
