I'd need an amplifier for a subwoofer and I was thinking about making two sets of three parallel chips, bridged (LM3886 or LM3875).
I was just wanting to ask, is there any difficulties doing this, and do I need anything special than pots for offset adjustment?
I was thinking for an signal OP amp to invert the signal for the other side.
And what kind of supply voltages should I/could I use for this arrangement?

Hi!
How many power do you want?
How many power can your sub handle?
What is the coil impedance of the woofer?
A bridged TDA7294 will give you approx. 150W-RMS on 8ohm. Let's see datasheet.

Well this would be for a 10" Peerless XLS, so 150W is in the "low end" but I think it might do the trick. The element has a 4ohm coil (is this going to be a problem?) and it's rated for 250/500W.
scoper, see the datasheet

With the LM3886 you have this schematic: http://www.shine7.com/audio/pa100.htm
Do you want 250w to 500w... why do you not use a Solid Stage amp?
Thanks, mod_evil

Hi Scorper
Have a look at the disc at:

but in shoort you can get up to about 200W/8ohm and 350W/4ohm if you have the cooling and PSU for it.
Have Fun
Thomas
