Hi Guys,
I came across an old thread where DBMandrake suggested making a little dent at the edge of the dust cap on Coral Flat 8 to mitigate Oil Drum effect.
Can someone confirm if dent at the edge is referring to edge of dust cap to speaker cone or ?????
Many thanks in advance

A dent will make little difference in the oil can resonance.
This is where a dustcapectomy and phase plug works. In a non-whizzer driver it can kill any highs coming off the dustcap (a godsend in the Visaton B200),

Many thanks Dave, so you saying that replacing the dust cap with phase plug will improve the highs on the Coral Flat 8 ?
