Did any body try to use whole 400W MH lamp surface as reflector by polishing the half part of it with mirror polishing material. This way we don't need other reflector and most likely the surface also is of the shape we need. It may not be as dangerous as we think. This goes for 175W or 250W MH big size lamps also.
The simpelst way to make a reflektor is a kind of a hammock around the bulb. Its made out of a thin Alufilm and i can recommand it. It did help alot!
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
I read about the kits to make mirros and I have seen in my child hood one of my friend making mirros and from there I thought one can build reflector. That seems to be the same reason for the professional projector lamps come as with reflector.
Thanks though for the input.
