Make up your mind - is it a Quad 405 or what?

It may be just my sometimes weird sense of humour:

But have look at this: HiFi MJ15024 Digital Power Amplifier Assembled Board Stereo Audio Amp Module 894177238379 | eBay

So this is a "HiFi MJ15024 Digital Power Amplifier Assembled Board Stereo Audio Amp Module"

OK, but what does the text on the boards "QUAD 405" then mean?
The number of transistors, the use of a LM301 and the polarity of all power transistors matches a QUAD 405 - but where did the Digital Power then come from?

BTW: I stumbled on this while examining another link from diyaudio.

I wouldn't be so certain about that. It isn't so long ago that ad-folk generally, were calling Class D "digital" audio. I think this is just another case of picking over the coolest associated terms of the day and slapping them together in a phrase that would appeal to a ''know-nuthin'' audio enthusiast with enough cash to buy but not enough education to see that something isn't right about the description.

Sadly my experience is that "digital" as a synonym for Class D is not limited to ad-folk:

A couple of years ago I participated in a "after-work" seminar where only electrical engineers were invited.
The subject was about a different way to construct a Class D amplifier giving better linearity - delivered by a post-doc engineer and rather technical.
During the break I happened to talk with an other participant - talking about his 21" Precision Devices speakers.
During the conversation I discovered that he also used "digital" as a synonym for Class D.

I think English is not their first language
Native Chinglish speakers know how to turn it into own advantage. Blame it all on poor English language. They can decide when they understand and when they do not understand. Win-Win. 😛
PS: Meanwhile I've read the text of their advertisement. They even provided more than perfect "Audio Precision" measurement results. They understand us perfectly: the most of us want "low price and quality". Usually you get the lowest quality at the lowest possible price. Masters of deception.
