I know this sounds dumb but is there a way to convert the output signal of a guitar amp to an RCA level input for a car subwooder amp? I am just wondering if its just a resistor i would need to put on the signal out of the guitar or if there would be more to it
You would need a preamp...
And ideally a different speaker other than a car subwoofer.. saying that i have used a car sub with an old single channel rack mount amp before as a bass practice amp.. but i was desperate and it sounded pretty **** to be honest...
To be honest i wouldnt bother, if it does work it wont work well.. and the car amp wont be beefy enough for bass guitar in the long run i wouldnt have thought...

Yes, a simple opamp would do it, it's VERY simple. However, in-car amps and sub-woofers are really poor, and it's not really a workable idea!.
