I was looking at this old Pioneer cd player i have on my parts shelf today, the laser mech is no good so its really only good for parts...
I don't really understand digital that well, but i was wondering if it would be a worthwhile project to convert into a DAC.
It uses a SANYO LC7881 and a Sanyo LC3517BL and two Mitsubishi 5218 op amps..
It looks to me that it would be easy to remove the power supply and DAC section of the pcb, I was wondering what else i would need to tap into this circuit via USB...
I realize it may not be that simple, and my understanding of digital circuits is limited, but i thought it might be worth asking...what do ya think?
