Does anyone have experience repairing a Mackie SRM1801 SMPS.
A friend has given me a blown SRM1801 subwoofer and I am working on trying to resurrect the power supply before replacing or re-coning the blown speaker.
I have so far, managed to get the PSU to turn on -( green light) when previously only a OL (red light would stay on).
The Limit light still remains on, and i suspect the fault lies between the NE556 timer which controls voltage to the KA3525A SMPS chip.
I have no formal training in electronics, and my experience is limited to amplifier and cd player modification and repair electronics on diyaudio and the extremely helpful diy community.
I have included a copy of the SRM1801 SPMS schematics.
Any direction or suggestions would be appreciated in my efforts to save this old piece of equipment from the tip.
