I use a pair of Mackie MR8 Mk2 studio monitors for my computer speakers. One began to suddenly make a very loud buzz and no audio output. They were turned on but not playing music when the buzzing began. I opened them up and the only thing I could see visually wrong was a bulge on top of one of the caps. It is labeled 35v 3300μf with the word "IMAGINE". The sound happens with no signal applied so I know it is not an upstream issue. I am fairly new to electronic repairs so I'm not sure this is the problem or if I can fix this but any help would be appreciated. I can probably add pics if that might help. And if this is the wrong forum, mods, feel free to move. Thanks.

Best place to get caps? I looked around briefly and don't see 3300μf caps anywhere. Is this an obscure number or am I just not looking hard enough?

Not ebay !
Look for reputable dealers online.
If you cant get 3300uf a 4700uf might physically fit.
Found some at Mouser Electronics on line. Has anyone dealt with this company?
Yes, they're fine. Be sure to get 35V, and that the leads will fit the board.
Be careful not to damage the board when desoldering.
