Hi all, new to Diy Audio. Been into car audio for 15 years but this is a whole new ball game. Anyway, I have a question regarding my amp. Mac Ma 5100. Running an active sub: I'm not sure which Rca outs to use for my Velodyne active Sub. On 1 of the output jacks, it says tape? Want to make sure I do this correctly & not damage this nice piece.
There is no pre-out on the MA5100

If your sub does not have speaker level inputs you will have to build a voltage divider to feed the speaker levels into the Velodyne. I suggest trying a 1K and 100R resistor, about 20dB of loss.

The mono speaker output from the MA5100 has an output impedance of 5000 ohms, you may run it into the preamp input of the Velodyne.
Can you tell if I can run 2 of these amps together to drive more speakers with only 1 source like a CD player?
Probably.
I would come out of the tape out of the first unit (that has the sources connected to it), into the tape in of the second unit.

What about sharing 1 source to two amps? That would be more logical, wouldn't it? I wonder if the signal can be split using a splitter?
