At long last, I have completed the LX-mini Analog Crossover and posted
in in the Article section of FIRST WATT
It will serve as the documentation and assembly manual for the kit which
will soon be available in the diyAudio store.
Enjoy.

I've been patiently waiting. And it's going to be just in time for a nice speaker project. This is super great!

Fabulous crossovers test's music piece from article

Kind regards
as always ..... BL , centered around 8mA ....... that number being in sweet spot regarding xconductance , associated resistor values and dissipation of part in circuit
however , this one of rare opportunities to toss in whatever you have of Toshiba leftovers (yup- GR and V , too) .... as long you're willing to do some sorting - higher Idss in lower position , lower Idss in upper position in buffer cell ..... and then play with source resistor in lower half , to tidy output node voltage level

Dear Nelson,
Every one has some opinion on LX-mini or open baffle.
We will miss papa amps if we built LX-mini because it requires 100W+100W.
we are running full range with 20W+20W.
So what is your point of view on LX-mini or open baffle with probable FET class AB or chip amps.
It is just some curiosity.
Thanks.
Nag.

HI ya all,
Do you think Mr. Pass has a plan to integrate 4 suitable amps and the crossover in to one box solution (or kit) such as the ones that are commercial available already?
??

Johnny

Nelson, an excellent article, thank you.
Any suggestions for power amplifiers that will drive the LX-mini will be welcome.
If they are running in AB class even better.
I think 4 amplifiers running in class A, they will provide a lot of heat (and the summers are really hot in Greece).

This 100 Watt´s can "shake " the woofers. Damping factor 500
AB100 Class AB Power Amplifier

I run F6 for the higher frequency driver and a 100W amp for the woofer... Sounds great and I don't think I hit exceeded 20W on the F6 with high volume.Dear Nelson,

There is a paragraph in the article which states that we found 25W
on the top to be adequate, leaving only the higher requirement for the
bottom driver.

Thanks Nelson, I got it.🙂
Questions about J113 buffers.
J113s in what range of Idss are usable in the circuit?
In the article Nelson says 8 pairs of jfets draws about 75mA and I guess Idss of each J113 should be more than 9mA. J113 datasheet says min. Idss is 2mA, and I'd like to make it sure.
Another question is when I match jfets, should I match them first and put source resistor(R1)? or should I match jfets with source resistor(R1) in place?
Thank you.
