Luxman r115 r-115 thin bass.. problem or design ?

If frequency response seems suspect, I'd consider wiring up an attenuator (maybe 10k / 470R per channel, some wire terminals and output jack on a piece of perfboard) so you can safely run a loopback test in RMAA over the unit. Any audfible fault should be glaringly obvious. I would not normally expect bad coupling caps in a unit this young yet but who knows.

Low bass may also result when the speaker (-) terminals have lost contact with ground return due to bad solder joints or a cracked PCB (shipping damage). Some poking around with a multimeter (ideally one that's good at <1 ohms) may prove insightful.

Thanks for suggestions. All connections are very solid.
I borrowed same amp from a friend.. same sound. Mine recapped had a bit more bass though.

It's nothing horrible. Some receivers are not too generous in bass. Had similar bass shy but decent amp before. Onkyo a8190 and a8067.

The opposite of this is kenwood ka-70. 65watts.. but sounds huge.. Bass is immense. Really need to match this animal to specific speakers. Will be too bass heavy on an average neutral speaker.

Try change c 512,c 511 with 47uf np or bipolar, and tell us how it sounds then.

Original values are 2.2 uf 50v. So replace both with 47uf 50v bipolar? Those are originally green muse nichikon BP capacitors. The only green muse caps on this amp

I have 6or 7 25v 47uf caps
And 2 35v 47uf caps .
Any chance of combining them to increase voltage handling? Those caps above are regular polar caps

Also have nice elna silmic ii polar caps 22uf 50volts.

Just seeing if I can try this without ordering and waiting

I think the problem is in your imagination. Do a blind test and then we can talk. My money's on the amp sounds exactly the same as whatever else you compare it to.

Not trying to start a debate about things I Dont know much.. but I definitely noticed on 3 amps, preamps I recapped with elna silmic ii Thst bass response was boosted. Hard to say if it's elna caps or age of old caps.
It's pretty obvious after 100 or so hours of brake in. Of course circuitry is most important. Onkyo p304, onkyo a8190, and this luxman.
And amps sound different.. yes there are articles saying all amps are the same.. but they are not. Maybe this is extremely obvious comment. Was confused by your "exactly the same as whatever u compare it with"

Update:
I was using this amp for a week or two as an integrated amp. It was on the whole time. At low volumes.
Last week
I was using this receiver as a pre amp. Kind of gave up on using its power amp section.
Now it's well over 150 hours of play time.
Just plugged it in to speakers.. and it sounds perfect )
Very much like 70-100 high current watts.
Very balanced, and bass is there. It's not tad bit more to original sound. . It's a lot more)

And again i am not electric engineer. Maybe it's my imagination. But now i definitely don't see the need of tweaking with capacitor values

Just quick update. . With more brake in time. . There is even more bass. A LOT. Same speakers that did not seem to make any bass with this receiver now blow subwoofer low end. (BW dm1600, bw lcr600 s3).
But good bass. The bass that was actually recorded. Dm1600 hit even lower than subwoofer.
Maybe there were few caps That failed. So do Recap AND wait 100-150 hours for them to break in
