The Luxman L480 is an intigrated amp that was designed in the mid 1970's. Does anybody know who actuallly designed this amp? Was wondering if it was Tim DeParavicini. Thanks.
Luxman is a Japanse company based in Yokohama, near Tokyo. They have been making audio equipment since 1925. I believe all their designs are 'in house'.
Thanks Bonsai: I know that Tim lived in Japan for a number of years in the mid to late 70's working for Luxman and that he did design a number of Luxman products.
Found this in an interview with Tim so it would seem clear he did not design the L480. Anyone out there Know who did? Perhaps an L480 manual with a reference to the designer. I asked Luxman they no longer have a record and don't know.
Quote from Tim:
"Amongst the products I developed for Lux was the big M6000 power amp for the American market and the C1000 preamp, plus smaller M4000 and 3000 power amps. At that time nothing so outrageous was done by the Japanese companies.?
