We've got a Group Buy coming up for the Lu1014 using Nelson's stash of parts.
Here's the link-
Lu1014 Group Buy
If things go as planned, we should go live with the sign up sheet and info next week.

My F3 mounting has been fine for almost a decade.
Perfect! [emoji41][emoji108]
Considering the price for the parts, shipment and all, I find it incredible that there may be a business remounting new legs to parts. Better not think too much about the value chain in that operation 🙁.
@danny_66: Thanks for the pictures and curves. Based on those there should be hope for my parts being usable as well.
@wg45: I will keep an eye on the group buy. Thank you.

If those marking are original, then those FETs are from the same lot and less likely to have been scavenged from old equipment. Just a guess.
maybe even pulled from pre-production bin; never used but prepared for mounting, needing short pins

Where did you get that bent aluminum piece that's holding down your LU1014 from?
Thanks

I drilled a hole in a small piece of aluminum, then bent it in a vice.

Please show close-up side view of the pins. If there is no obvious step, then it is just an odd-looking lead formation.
The LU1014 datasheet specifies a leg length of 6~7.6mm.

And this one is certainly a new invention.
An LU1014 with IR logo, on ebay.
😉
The normal price from Grey and from Deep Surplus umteen years ago was already > 4USD per piece.
If someone offers you 5 pieces of the "same" at even less, you honestly expect them to be genuine ?

Well, I discovered we've been there before 7 years ago, same parts, same discussion. Probably they're the real deal. Why not put them to use 😉: https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/233690-lu1014d-ebay-test-prove-fake-3.html#post3451470
