LU1014D on ebay - how to test to prove it's not a fake?

Thanks for the input Nelson.

Using a hi-current supply thats a little lower than 5V, and three tested parts I'm getting about 1.1V at the test point.

...which suggests they're genuine parts?

Is this conclusive evidence that they are genuine? Or is there another source resistance value that can be checked to confirm the part.

I just had a quick nosy at the zv9 article again and using the test mentioned there (Gate to gnd, Source to 1R to GND, 3V at Drain) getting me a Vgs of about .9V at just under 1A. My 1R is two .47R's soldered together though, so I guess it could be a little under 1R. Still pretty close to the suggested 1A result though.

Well I guess I just need another test setup to be sure now...

Excellent news! Thank you again for your help Nelson.

I'll be contacting the seller and saying 'sorry' and 'thanks' rather a lot...

The Ebay seller was pretty quick to respond also when I queried the parts - if anyone else is chasing some greenhouse408 items - Get great deals on greenhouse items on eBay Stores! is the seller I purchased from

Now to understand -why- that test was the conclusive one <prints datasheet>
