LTSpiceXVII on ubuntu - can't load schematics

Does anybody run LTSpiceXVII on Ubuntu?

I was using it successfully under Wine on CentOS, but when installed on Ubuntu I can not open asc files. I can create and save them though, but a first, it does not show "*.asc" in the "open" menu, and second, when I choose "*.*", find and try to open the file, it does nothing.

I figured out what is wrong. After I installed Wine 2 in the separate subdirectory, it started running.

I've tried several methods to run Windows programs on Ubuntu. PlayOnLinux is working the best for me. I think it's just a gui and wrapper over Wine, but it works for many programs.
