Hi,
I've been looking at the Zen, and JLH amplifiers over the past few days, and I have modelled them in LTSpice today. I have read on the forum that the transistor models aren't very accurate so I'm going to take the results with a pinch of salt. However, the JLH 1996 amplifier modelled very well in LTSpice.
If I built the attached circuit I would need a variable resistor in place of R2, and R5. In LTSpice the model gave about 10db of gain.
What would be best transistor to use as Q1 ?
Should I breadboard ?
