Search on only the part number returns zero hits! Has nobody used this chip for audio applications? Its specs make it seem like a winner!

even the manufacturer says it would be good for direct-coupled gain stages and gives a phono preamp scheme in the datasheet.

Well ok then I will be the first. Be warned: I have tinnitis and possibly tin ears, so my rave reviews may be taken with a grain of salt!
it's not on the cutting edge -- but Jim Williams from Linear used it in their ultra-low distortion oscillator.
it isboth healthy and unhealthy to get hung up on some of these opamps. i built a wonderful RIAA preamp using National LM833 opamps. i think i bought a score of them for $3.

The only reason I am wanting to use opamps at all is that they are a lot easier to slap in than to design a front end for an output stage. I am planning for a medium power kick-arond-the-lab type amplifier, and LT1007 looks well suited to the purpse
