Hi all,
After digging through Google there are plenty of simple opamp schematics for running a guitar into line level - but I want to do the opposite.
I'm eyeing up a cheap audio interface which has guitar (Hi-Z) inputs. The problem is that I'm wanting to run line level (eg from a mixer) into it (at normal operating levels). I figure it's as simple as a resistor or two but I'm not sure what values I'd want to be using! The interface specs say the input is 500k, 4.5dBV max.
I realise I could use a couple of transformers out of DI boxes but just whatever has the least colouration of sound would be ideal!
Anyone able to shed some light on this for me? Thanks!

Likely you don't even need to do anything - guitar input needs to be hi-z because a guitar cannot dish out enough current. If your source can dish out more current, it doesn't hurt.
Thanks for your reply. Sorry I should've said - I'm ideally trying to get 1:1 in/out without software 🙂
