Hello! I'm building a bluetooth speaker and I'm going to be using the TPA31162D2 amp. I'm a newb. Question is: I'm planning on controlling amp and bluetooth module power with a MOSFET. I am curious if there is a reason to choose high side vs low side switching. Low side seems much simpler to do but is there a reason to use high-side for this kind of application?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Just put the TPA in shutdown mode.
Say you're using a 5000mAh battery and the shutdown current is 50uA, it'll take >11 years for the TPA current to discharge the battery. Hardly worth worrying about...

Well, that just made my life a lot easier! Thank you. This reinforces, yet again, why I should spend more time reading datasheets instead of just jumping into things willy-nilly 😛
Cheers
