Low priced PCOCC wire source

Belkin has seemingly introduced a 5 or 6, (depends on your personal definition) 9's purity PCOCC..or 'pure copper-ohno continuous cast' high purity solid core copper wire.

It averages about $50 for a 100 foot roll, with polyethylene skin, With a Negative (-) and Positive(+) run, so that's 200 ft of 16 gauge PCOCC..for under $50.

That's $0.25 per foot.

Contrast that to the $1.50-$2.00 a foot from the specialty DIY supply shops.

I'm a believer in the best stuff making a notable sonic difference that is WORTH THE EXTRA expense for me...but you don't always want to spend to get to the extra. Sometimes you just want the best bang for the buck on high grade solid core wire.

It is likely arguable that the Neotech wire with 6 9's purity, annealing, etc is sonically better, but, hey..that's what debates are for. I think I'd hear a difference and will eventually investigate. In the meantime, here's a quite inexpensive source for a likely very good PCOCC wire.

If you don't believe that wire makes a difference please ignore this thread and consider seeing a psychiatrist about the opening of your mind. 🙂

When it comes to 'bang for the buck' this is likely 'it', right at this time.

Not to mention the varied stranding

Their speaker cable, apart from the undesirable PVC jacket, is a pretty darned good simple design, and incorporates multiple strand sizes, which helps break up mechanical resonances, a big plus IMO.

Good bargain stuff. Not going to displace the best uberstuff but certainly would pound just about anything in the same price range (or double it!)
