Low Fi speaker project for trash & pop music

It has to have fast prodigious bass , guitars should cut through like in untamed Altec 811/511 horn with recognizable vocals and good imaging and holography. AND it should not create listening fatigue. NO squinky dome tweeters and no audiophool 5" woofers. Midwest , flyover country style.
Any suggestions?

Your description seems to lean PA drivers and an eq. But I could be way off base.

Second hand Peavey, Carvin, Community,Samick or other bangforthebuck brand PA speakers. Should be much cheaper than building.
If new then active a la Boombox. One guy from here is happy about his Samson. Chinese Alto that also sells under other names sound surprisingly good
If diy find some defective PA speakers and fix or gut them.
