I plan to use the arduino nano V3.0 ATMEGA328P to control the DAC but need to figure out how to work the display.

I will post my version of an program / schematics and how to connect LCD, and some other enhancements like IR command , adding an encoder , power on/power off and so on after i will receive my board . Also i will use the power on to trigger 12V for my Shiga clone CD player - an relay to power on /power off with this DAC at the same command.
Or you can look at " Sabre Hifiduino ess arduino program " . Only some minor modification need it if you know Processing/Wiring language (aka arduino language) .

Maybe it will be better to open a git hub project?
I have an adaptation of hiduino code for arduino due + touch screen as well

Let's try to keep this this thread clean for Syllabe to give him space to manage the GB, and make 2 additional threads:
- one for build related experiences/BOM tweaks and questions and
- other one for DAC different implementations and DAC chip control.

If the ES9018K2M registries are the same or close to 9018 it will be very easy to implement or/and adapt an already arduino controller.

as for using an ARM device as a source there are several solutions. ...

I contacted those companies in order to get the full doc of the ES9018K2M.

They are kind of curious :). I do not know what could be the right answers:

Can you tell me more about your interest?
• For what application would you like to use the ES9018K2M?
• When should development start?
• When should a prototype be ready?
• When should the development be finalized?
• When should production start?
• What would be the targeted annual volume?
Your feedback on this would be much appreciated.
