Sorry
I did not check the list
and price...
In that cas I am willing to apply for 20 pieces...
I will apply on the list at the beguining of the
topic is it OK ?

Zoran, that's fine, you can add your name to the list.
I will be contacting Lovoltech on Monday and will post some final information then.

My KSA50 is an hour away from finisehed and thinking of next project. Its either my Leach clone or ive been thinking about an AX.
I have a 300VA 11-0-11 transformer and some Aleph-X boards I havent used from HifiZens group buy.
Think a few of these would suffice, say 8 per chanel?
Can I push these out to about 20Watts a piece in SOA or is this abit too hard? H
How many would I need to match enough for a stereo amp, I think I would need 4 sets of four matched?
Comments suggestions welcome.

Luke,
20 w is 3 times the Nelson's recommended dissipation. If you buy enough jfets I guess you can afford to vaporize a few.
Are proposing an AX with mosfet CCS and cascoded gainstages?
That would be interesting. I think 11-0-11 rails is too low for speakers, maybe it would be good for headphones. That amp should have 25-0-25 IMO.
It looks like alot of people were awaiting for this groupbuy.

I think Nelson May have bought a few tens of thousand devices already. I could see how circuits optimized for power jfets may be Pass Labs next generation of products.

I thought Nelson recommended not going over about 10 watts?

Yeah. So who's actually going to be collecting the money? I'd like to pay up ASAP and get it out of the way.

Can you ask where is the quantity break? I think some of us can get more if it will help to push the total over the edge.

And probably bought the entire supply from Loveltech, keeping the competition at bay for a couple of months! Might be best to get our order in before the reviews come out on the new First Watt😱

Hi Grataku,
seems I would need 12/channel for a 25W class A amp if I run then under 10Watts a device.
I was considering the GRollins circuit which has CCS. I expect to get rails of around 13V with this transformer, I thought this was doable with an aleph-X?
Surely someone is making a meaty power jfet

Steve,
I thought I read 7watts somewhere is some of the recent articles so 7x3=21 rounded down. But if you say it's 10 so be it. Arguing with you it's like arguing with a woman.
Moe's going to take care of everything. He has agreed monday is the deadline for wiki sign up. That's a line in the sand and it will be up to him to move it as he sees fit. He is also going to try to get a quote monday, I think.
Anyways, in due time he will announce how this is going to work out.
So please be patient and no email bombing, at least not yet.

It is doable, in fact I am using 14 v rails (+/-14V) and while the AX amp is very sweet, no actually it is the sweetest, amp at moderate voulmes it quickly runs out of juice in the more dense musical passages. Maybe wrongly, I attribute that 'feature' to low rail operation.
I would recommend you get acquainted with the regular circuit before moving on to the jfets.
I should warn you though, if you plug it in your speakers it would be hard to want to build something else. 😉
