I read the complete thread. It may be more about enlarging the stereo image for a given listening position rather than enlarging the area where the listener has an even binaural sensation.

Far too much woodworking for me, speaking of the original version. I have not read the complete thread ...
I played with loudspeaker placement. My sound is not that bad after all even if lacking of something I cannot clearly identify. With the current furniture arrangement and the speakers symmetrical with respect to TV, there is no sittting place at the optimum. It is a whole living room re-arrangement that is required, which will happen since we are getting rid of an acoustic piano end of august.
