Im trying to build the ultimate DAC for raspberry pi.
Im looking at couple of chips:
ES9023 with external tcxo via I2S
ES9018 via XMOS / USB that apparently supports DSD512 PCM 384K.
AK4495SEQ
AK4490EQ that uses 768kHz/32Bit
So ES9023 can be connected via I2S to raspberry. I think all others will be connected via USB/XMOS.
Any opinions ?

Ultimate as in best possible sound? Not likely to be a single chip, almost certainly won't be based on S-D architecture like those you've mentioned.
