I was looking around for some low profile conical feet for my Squeezebox SB3 rebuild (see my [ongoing] blog if you are interested) Looking on ebay I found a Chinese trader who sold small ones meant for small speakers I guess as they came with ferrules for knocking into timber.
I cut the horrible M7 thread off drilled and tapped them M4 and screwed them to the base panel through rubber grommets, worked a treat! conical feet like I wanted, plus shock / vibration proof (somewhat anyway!)
