Looking for a power switch for a Marantz 2252.Looked on ebay and was wondering if switch from any other model would be compatible.Any parts supplier out there.
How about a photo of the old one? I have many power switches, but no idea which ones might have been used in what.
An AT PC computer switch may work if there is plenty of room around it. The hole spacing on these is about 20mm with an M3 thread and they have a square shaft for the knob (button). Usually the knob can be pulled off to check.
Alps has plenty of switches like that but are only low voltage and amps. Some Japanese manufacturers overcome that by wiring through both poles. Finding a high amp push button switch is not easy and is why I suggested the AT PC computer one which are rated at 5A-10A.

Yeah, I have one similar, 20mm spacing. If you dropped by a local computer repair shop, you could probably look at the switches used to see if one yould fit in your unit.
