I did the setup on my TD160 Super the following way:
- fixed the arm on its rest with some flexible wire
- put on the stylus protector
- removed the bottom cover
- placed the TT on support of equal height on left and right edge (books 🙂)
- measured the platter to base distance at several points around, found close to 6 mm
- using the circular end of a 6 mm drill bit laid between the base and platter, adjusted the 3 springs so that the platter just touches the drill bit. You can use any flat object with 6 mm thickness too
- verified equal distance with running motor
- check with a small bubble level

remove the bottom of the TT's base to access the screws. Support the thing on it's left and right edges.
So you can get under the thing to work on the spring screws basically. Sawhorses or a pair of tables?
Use a level to ensure the base is level in 2 directions. Place the level that you just used onto the platter/mat.
Check for level in 2 directions.
If 'out' use the adjuster screws to level the platter...then yer done

Thats the easy part on the set-up after that the correct,, bounce,, from the subchassis ! Its takes some time to get it working correct .
