Title says it all. Looking for (1) 10 in or 12in sub (sealed or ported) with an amp.
Installed a Rockford Fosgate P300 12" in my wife's CRV, for the $ it's honestly pretty decent.
Just curious s to what other options are out there, budget is a max of $400.
I've seen some Skar Audio & MTX Terminator sets but they seem poorly made.
Highly considering an Alpine/Kicker/JL set up (most likely used), but I've lost touch with what brand names are better than others.

The JL 12W0 is always a good choice on the low-end.
A cheap class D would be OK. The SKAR amps that I've seen are one of the many clones that use their circuits and are typically reliable. They are simple and well known (the ones I've seen) so they're generally easily to repair if they fail after the warranty period.
When buying, always buy from someone who is going to give a warranty on the amp. 'Over the counter' exchange is best. Some want to take your amp and have it repaired. This MAY be OK but can take forever for you to get it back.

I gotcha. I use to be heavily into car audio and I got out of it years ago. So now I know just enough to be dangerous. I found this P300-8p $150 used that seems very cheap and is nearly new. Comes with the wiring kit as well. The JL 12W0 is always a good choice on the low-end.

Being that it's a Corvette the interior dimensions are small. So it should work fine.
