Confirmed all Zeners are ok. Reinstalled the mainboard and reduced drive bias as suggested by @Zen Mod. Hooked up OPS, grounded the inputs, and brought her up via Variac. All good. Biasing works just fine.
I was scratching my head why things suddenly look nice and dandy without actually fixing anything in the amp, but at some point I decided to move on and feed some test signals into the amp. Once the signal generator was hooked up (but still without signal), the DC offset started going bad... disconnected the signal generator, and output DC went back to where it was. Turns out my old signal generator has developed a DC problem. Looks like the problem was not with the amp at all!
