If you really want a 845 SET, I highly suggest you check this LM219ia from China, it is an integrated amp but has a switch can change to power amp. It is using 310A and 300b as driver tube. And 12AX7 as preamp tube. I personally audition it in a show room, it is very impressive. If you cannot find a dealer nearby, check online market on Aliexpress.com about $4000 including shipping.http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32315577234.html

Hi Frank,
They look solidely built and also the tubes well protected, we do not have children so the open design of NAT is no problem for us, but with kids around the Antique soundlab looks quite safe 🙂

Hopefully it will be all you expect (and maybe even more)

I think you will be checking the post delivery update every hour until you see the brown truck shows up on the door.
Enjoy your "845" monster, you will be impressed ,otherwise get some new bottles. I have 4sets of tubes now. More is coming. KR845 or WE845 are the best, highly recommended.

The wait is over,😀

I go the SET today........Man these are so nice sounding when they are warmed up, especially the ambient around voices are near perfect, the level of details is very good. The only thing I need to get use to is the reproduction of the lowest frequency, not as power full as my M1000 but they are rated at 80W class A/ 450W A/B.

Ones again thanks for your help.

Hello.....

I am new to SET amplifiers but I need to try one and I just missed out on a pair of used Wall Audio M33 mono blocks.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend other types? I am looking to spend max 4000-4500 $, I am OK with buying a used amplifier. I have been looking at some 845 types.... the reason is That I respect around 20 W and a design without feed back.

Any recommendations will bee highly appreciate.
I would suggest this 211 16W at under 3Kusd:
Mingda Handicrafted High End Valve Amplifiers
Or the old model at 2K usd:

Congratulations! Enjoy you new toy.
I found the save feeling as you for my 25W 845 SET. That's why I am running active crossover, let 845 only Drive the mid/high and let 23W KT120 SET drive the low, crossover point is 350HZ. kT88 or KT120 does a better job on low end but not good for mid comparing to 845 or 300b.
If your speakers have biwire posts, and you preamp has two output (you can use Y adapter but not as good as preamp two output as they are isolated), I suggest you to try passive bi-amp, 845 for high and M1000 for low, but M1000 must have gain control then you can adjust the balance.
