I'm looking for a conventional UL or Pentode push pull kit. It must come with a chassis, which keeps tubelab from contending.
The only two I'm finding thus far:
1. Audionote Kits L1 (which can be bought with C core OPT, albeit at a substantial adder)
2. Erhard Audio ST35, which is a Dynaco close with a better PSU and Dynaco iron.
Any other ones I'm missing? Oddwatt isn't responding and their's is class A 4 watts anyway, rather low in power.
Any comments on the ANkits or Erhard? I've read where the Dynaco Z565 output transformers are really good and I have to believe Audionote iron is likewise good (EI core or C core)

it's not exactly a kit, but you could buy a dyna sca-35 and rebuild it. It's a great sounding little integrated especially after a rebuild

If you can't find a used one, new parts are available, but they are pricey.

Good news: replacement boards for model ST-35 fit perfectly in the SCA-35. These use type 7247 / 12DW7 drivers in place of non-obtainium type 7199. Lower gain, so you may be happier removing the tone controls. Wonderful amplifiers, lots of modding future fun in the Dynaco tradition.
All good fortune,
Chris

I am using Dave Gillespie's Output boards that use 6GH8A driver tubes. I also designed my own power supply PCB that replaces the PS caps, converts the EL84's to fixed bias and houses a heater transformer and regulator to run the phono board heaters on DC. The phono board is a custom one from "conductor" ala DynaKit that is a basic passive RIAA stage. I also bypassed the tone controls.
The amp sounds incredible! HIGHLY recommended!
The only complaint is they get HOT!
If you go this route, try to find an original Dynaco with the cloth wire output transformers. IMHO, those are part of the reason these amps sound so good! Dynaco had a patented winding technique and their output transformers sound great. Triode Electronics winds their replacements the same way but the OEM still sound better to me.
If you are interested in my PS board, drop me a line.

Here in the UK we have the highly regarded World Designs KEL84 integrated amplifier kit.
The standard version costs £795 and you are invited to enquire about overseas shipping.

I missed one on the second-hand market, last week was 280 €.
I think the seller did not know what he was selling, I'm disgusted ...
it is a very good amp with good opt and a good power transformer.

Did you grab either of these?
I'm especially interested in the Erhard, but can't find any info online other than Erhard's website.
