Looking for a great starter stereo P-P amp

Hello all. I'm new here. I've been building clones of fender amps for a while now, and a friend of mine would like me to build an amp for his record player. Neither of us are exactly audiophiles, but certainly would appreciate what a tube amp would bring to the table. Since I have little experience with reliable schematics, layouts, etc. for HiFi, I was interested to see if anyone could direct me to a really good reliable stereo amp to build. I'm not particularly interested in trying to tackle the preamp. Thanks in advance.

we really need a sticky on this subject - the usual suspects that are well supported here are, (in rough order of stock output power):

Poinz's Music Machine
Baby Huey
El Cheapo
Engineers Amp (otherwise known as the Red Board) by Pete Millett

I'm sure more will be added.

Strong believer of Pete's board. I did a complete compactron design with sweep tubes, startling clarity and sound stage. Output power from 20 to 80 watts/channel based on iron and output tube selection. OR 500 watts/ board if you so wish.....
An excellent way to go !
